Herb Posts: 70 From: Alexandria Ontario Canada Status: offline	Pop-ups - 3/19/2001 14:00:00 I have one of those pop-up windows to sign-up for a mailing list which I need but is a real pain in the butt...:. I saw some place where pop-ups like that can be set-up only when a person leaves the site, that makes more sense to me. Can anyone help? Herb

Just a comment on this subject. It's been my experience on the many different forums that I frequent that the pop up window that displays when you close a browser window or click a bookmark to go to a different website do not go over well, generally.

When someone is ready to leave a website, they are ready to go and can get really irritated if they are forced to deal with a pop up window at that point, especially if they have closed the browser and it appears on their desktop.
