post data w/ submit and continue to next page? - 3/20/2001 18:53:00
im not sure if ive posted to the right forum but here goes. let me start out by saying that im not a webmaster so please spell out your answers as best you can. thank you. heres the problem. i have a web page thats main purpose is to collect info. user starts out by entering basic info (name address blah blah blah) and then goes into more specific info about what they need. what i need to somehow do is have them start out entering info on page1, click "submit" and it will enter post the data to the database AND continue to the next page of info. Now depending on what the user is doing this could go on and on for several pages till they are done. is it even possible to do this and if so what is the easiest way using fp2000 and as little coding as possible. if anybody has any answers i would greatly appreciat them. thanks.

I've never tried doing this, but in theory, it should work. OK? The worst that can happen is, it won't work and you would have spent your time trying it for nothing, but! I will be a great learning experience.Create a custome thank you page for the first form. On it, put the next form, creating a custom confimation page for the form on that page (with the third form on it.) Go on til you have completed all the froms you have. I don't see a way to change the custom confirmation page in relation to how the questions were answered. I think that would require a script more complicated than FP can create.
