It's likely that deleting wouldn't fix the problem anyway... Have you tried booting into safe mode and run your virus scan? Also, try stopping the process in Task Manager (ctrl + alt + del) if it shows up there and then run the scan. What AV software are you running? clever Posts: 4 Joined: 5/13/2005 Status: offline	RE: c:\counter.cab:\counter.exe - 5/13/2005 6:23:16 i have both norton anti virus and stop sign the norton doesnt find anything when i scan the whole drive or the counter.cab the stop sign did find the counter.cab and this post is the first result on http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=counter.cab&meta= not shure if this virus file is the result of my dead ssl/msn/hotmail/windows update also i have windows xp and it let me rename it to counter.die (in reply to bobby)
