Another Q: Table of contents - 3/25/2001 13:33:00
Hi, all!
Using table of contents facility in FP2000, is there any way of having it ignore pages I specify, and these pages not appearing in the contents listing?

(for example, I'd prefer not to have the submission form's confirmation page accessible by the table of contents)

Info appreciated!
Many thanks,
Alex Ottway,
Nottingham.

Hi,

I found myself in the same box also. This is what I did.

First off your server must have FP2K server extentions loaded (If unsure just ask your web hosting company).

Go to one of the pages that you want included in the new sitemap/T.O.C. and right click on the page. Go to page properties. You will see in the tabs at the top one called "workgroups". Click on this tab. Now click on the "add" button. Make a new "workgroup" category name (call it whatever you want). You have just created the category that you will use in the following steps.

Now repeat these steps on each page that you want to showup in the sitemap/T.O.C. up to "click on the "add" button". Instead just scroll down through your categories. When you see the new category that you added previously just click in the box to make a check and hit OK. You have now added that page to the new category. Again, do this on all the pages that you want to show up in the sitemap/T.O.C..

Now make a new page, I called mine sitemap.htm, you can call this whatever you want to. Format the page to look like all your other pages. Inside of this new page designate a cell for the sitemap/T.O.C. contents. Click in the cell to make it active. Then click on insert>component>categories and choose the category that you made back in paragraph one.

You now have a new sitemap/T.O.C. page. Pointer, this process will feed off of the page title, keep this in mind.

I know this was a long post. Just wanted to be sure that I left nothing out.

Have fun,

Brian

Hi Alex,

My pleasure. Can't take credit. Forgot the source though, been a while.

Brian
