Printing problem - 3/25/2001 17:47:00
Although an html dummy, I have managed a pretty nice site. I usually manage to muddle through to solutions, but after a few normal printings of site pages from FP with a new printer (HP Desk Jet 842C), I began getting this "An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway, click ignore etc." After clicking "close", this comes up, "This program has performed an illegal operation." etc. It prints okay in "normal" view, but won't in the browser. Anybody ever encountered this? It's got me half nuts and fading fast. Anyone?

With all accessory problems, probably the first thing to do , would be to load the latest drivers to ensure thats not the problem. I guess www.hp.com ?

Thanks for the advice, Spooky, but the only driver update available for the printer concerned a "paint" prog. and didn't help me. I should have mentioned that it prints fine in all other applications. (Word Perfect, Outlook Express, Word Pad etc.)

Did you try printing using a different browser? You may be able to limit the problem to the browser you are using and not you webdesign.
