resizing photographs - 3/27/2001 13:24:00
When I usually put photos on my website I resize them in another software package. Is there a way in FrontPage 2000 to resize them (to 4x6) and then create the thumbnail? I right clicked on the image and changed appearance but they still appear LARGE!
Thanks!
Marr

You can do it in FP by the method you described as already having done - or you can drag a corner to make it smaller. I'm unsure as to why you are not seeing the changes.

If you use either of these methods - be sure to also use the resample tool immediately after resizing to reduce the file size as well as the dimensions.

The best way to resize a graphic is still in an image program as the file size can also be reduced more efficiently than with the FP resampling tool. The more bulk you can shave off of each graphic- the faster your pages will load.

Thanks Marr. I did try both ways you mentioned however once I make a thumbnail, save the changes, go to preview button and click on the thumbbnail the photo is still LARGE. Any thoughts as to why?
