I don't know if anyone can help me with this...I've got a small Visual Basic exe file on my server which I want people to be able to run by clicking on a link/button from a web page.
However when the link is clicked, instead of the program running automatically I always get the dialog box popping up with:
"You have chosen to download a file from this location
What would you like to do with this file?
Run this program from it's current location.
Save this program to disk."...etc
Is there any way I can disable this box so that the exe runs immediately on the client's machine every time, or at least force it to select the 'run' option automatically without user intervention??
I'm not sure whether there's anything I can do about this in Front Page or whether it's something that I might be able to solve in VB itself?? I suspect there's some sort of script I need to include in my web page to diable the dialog box....????
