what are meta tags?
where do i put them, do i have to use them, what do they do and what is the easyest way to use them?

Meta tags are basically special tags placed between the <head> and </head> tags of your page that tell the search engines stuff about your site.You will find a good introduction here: http://echoecho.com/htmlmetatags01.htm
