Does this work on a MAC? - 1/17/2005 17:05:23
Hello, everyone.

I've had a few people with MACs tell me the home page of this website, which we did for a client, doesn't show up properly. Apparently, the whole table was shoved down so they had to scroll all the way down to view it.

I've made a few changes in the table properties but I don't have a MAC to test it on.

Does anyone out there have a MAC they can use to view this page and see if it looks right?

Hi Barbara,

I haven't used this site, but apparently it gives you screenshots of what your site looks like on a Mac.

Browser Cam

Hope that helps

Dan ...

Oh no! You mean it's not just the MAC that's causing this? I've tested the site on a PC using IE and Netscape, and many other have viewed the site without problems.

What browser and/or system do you use?

Hi Barbara,

I don't have a Mac - sorry. But in Firefox 1 on W2K at 1024x768 pixels, your main banner is messed up, see my attachment:

:)

Vertical scrolling is inevitable given the volume of data you have for that page, but having all the graphics align properly is a different story.

Kitka ..

Drat!! Everything looks fine on my end, even at the 1024x768 pixel setting. Sheesh. This is frustrating. If you have time, would you tell me if any of the other pages are like this or if it is just the home page?

By the way, the scrolling problem wasn't merely to see the remainder of the page -- I had two people tell me the entire "top" screen was blank -- they had to scroll down to see any of the text. Both had MACs, so I was assuming it was a MAC problem.

Thanks for your info ... I'll keep working on this.

It is all pages, plus I looked at it in 800x600 in Firefox and it is messed up the same as in 1024.

You might find it handy to download and install Firefox for the purpose of testing your sites - even if you prefer to use IE as your default browser (not that I can understand why anybody would want to! :) )

Firefox and Mozilla are far more standards compliant than IE, so if it works there, it will probably work in most browsers.
