"Forgot Password" auto responder - 1/19/2005 0:50:37
Does anyone know or can refer me to how to create a form that will automatically look up the userID in an Access database and send their password to the email in their record? I have found some reference to this using CDONTS but not anything on ASPEMail or JMAIL. I don't think my host allows CDONTS. They may offer another way as well, but I am not familiar with the technical lingo they list.

Thanks,
taxmaster

Have you considered Spooky Login? That is a registration system with all the functionality you seek already built in. The price is reasonable and beats the heck out of coding all that yourself.

Just a thought.

I took a quick peak at it a while ago, but never thought to use it. Is it easy to integrate into my existing site? I currently have an Access database that has the users password and login ID with the rest of their profile. Can I link it to my exisitnig database? How do I administer it when I do not host my site myself?

Thanks
