Disappeared Margins Tab - 3/31/2001 15:49:00
I have used the Margins tab in the Page Properties dialog box many times before. When I tried to use it for a new page today, I found the tab is gone.

Previous tabs read L to R:
General-Background-Margins-Custom-Language
Now tabs read L to R:
General-Background-Custom-Language-Workgroups

Any ideas about why this happened or how to fix it?

Thanks.

Are you sure you've selected the page in your right hand screen. The only way I could simulate this, was by seleting the page in folders view.
Hope it helps.
Sorry if I'm telling you to suck eggs..

Thanks, Paul, but I tried opening the page as you suggested (if I understood you correctly) but it didn't change anything with the page properties dialog box tabs.

go to Tools>Page Options and check the compatibility.

If it is set to Netscape, or includes Netscape the margins tab will not be visible. Set the choice to IE or Custom and the margins tab will be visible again.

*Now* I remember changing that setting! Thanks for the solution, Nancy.

One point though - there is a reason for that!

Margins as you set them in FP may not work in NN. For say, zero margins you will need a body tag that looks like something like this:

<body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" rightmargin="0" bottommargin="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" >

Thanks for the HTML reminder. I will definitely make sure the tags I use to set margins will work with both browsers.
