Music Clips - 4/3/2001 20:22:00
I've built a site (my first) on behalf of some musicians, which includes a Shop page on which CDs can be bought and MP3 sound clips can be heard but their download times are too slow - I have some questions:

1. What is the meaning of the %20 that FP inserts into the gaps between the words of an MP3 file name?

2. Where should I place the meta files needed to enable streaming on sound samples? Are they the file that's directly hyperlinked from my Shop/Sounds page and if so how are they linked to the MP3 files themselves? And where should the MP3 files be placed within the web?

Thanks in advance for all help.

I can help with the first question:
%20 = <space>
You should avoid using spaces even in non-HTML based document if they are going to be on the web. In fact, avoid naming anything with spaces in it. Instead, I'd suggest using capitalLettersToSeparateWordsInATittle.

For the second question, I would guess you would use the <embed> tag the same way you would for streaming video-- the extension on the file name determines what plug-in plays the clip.
