Burning a web into a CD - 4/3/2001 18:06:00
I published a friends web site to my hard drive from his server and used Web Position Gold to tweek it for search engines. I want to burn the revised edition into a CD and give it to his web master to review. I thought his designer could overwrite the existing pages, with the revised versions and then upload it.

Here is the problem: It seems that when I transfer the web on to the CD, it is changed from a web to just a folder with files. I can run the web from my D drive and it looks and acts fine. When I transfer it back to my hard drive from the CD (as his designer will do) and try to make changes, I get a warning that I can not write to this file. Also, from within frontpage, the web folder no longer has the web icon, it just looks like a folder. How can I accomplish what I want to do? Thanks,

Bob

I'll answer my own question, use the import feature in the file menu as compared to just opening the file.
