Frontpage Automation via command line - 4/4/2001 23:47:00
Does anyone know if/what and/or/how FrontPage 2000 accepts command line switches?
especially switches to activate a macro? I cant find any documentation anywhere.

I am trying to set up an (easy) way to backup my web automatically, but I am getting stuck at the no macro command line switches part.

So far, I can use the windows task scheduler to run a bat file and have the bat file open FrontPage and open a specific web. That's Good so far.

But Frontpage seems to not support the /X command line switch. (like Access supports to run a macro from the command line)

I can do everything I need so far, except get the macro to run automatically.

I could make an executable that the bat file would run, later this week/early next week after much thinking/learning, but as I am just a beginner programmer, and still have lots to learn,

I am just looking for cheap and dirty right now.
Anybody got the cheap and dirty I am looking for?

thanks, Dan

I don't know if this will do what you want, but it says will do backups.

I have never tried it, but it has some online documentation you can read.

scroll part way down to the Jimco Publisher information.
