transferring web mail messages - 1/26/2005 11:54:34
my friend is moving host (to Outfront hosting) and he has a lot of messages on his 'old' hosts server in his webmail (he rarely uses outlook or other)

how would he move his old messages from the old account to his new one?

other than forwarding his old messages i can't think how he might do it.

Get the host to make a back-up of them, and then he can have them downloaded to his local machine, and then re-uploaded to his new host

eek! it took the host 9 days to reply to the request for the domain login info, after i sent 2 snotty reminder emails and then they just told me it was the same as the login info, but no apology or otherwise :(

i think i might just get him to dort through them and forward the relevant ones ;)
