Folders and files starting with _ (underscore) will not be indexed for searching.

to add to that, If you create a folder and precede its name with an underscore (for example, _database), the folder is only hidden from Microsoft FrontPage views. Such folders are useful for files that do not need to be seen in FrontPage views; however, the folder's contents can be viewed by site visitors browsing the web and search engines.

When you create a new web, FrontPage automatically creates a hidden folder named _private to store form results. This hidden folder created by FrontPage cannot be viewed by site visitors browsing your web unless they have password. If you want additional folders that cannot be viewed by site visitors, you can create subfolders below the _private folder, or you can contact your web administrator for instructions on how to make a hidden folder. You cannot create your own individual hidden folder that is not a sub folder of _private. So a page stored in _private will be hidden from search engines, but will also be unavailable to your visitors.
