  		Is my video card just crapping out? - 1/26/2005 20:15:55   
My computer screen looks like it expands and then contracts. After this, it will suddenly shut off. The green power light on the monitor will turn to the blinking yellow light. After I turn the screen off and then back on, the screen will repeat this same thing after I go to a different program or switch websites. Can someone PLEASE tell me what is up with this problem.

Have you tried with a spare monitor?
Are all the cards and plugs (including power!) seated securely?

I wish I had a spare monitor to test it with. But I don't. Yes, all connections are secure. Any other ideas?

Im still thinking its a monitor issue. Any friends or neighbors you could quickly borrow off for testing?

Or try another monitor cable...

It sounds to me like something in the monitors power supply or power cord is loose or going out.

If it were a vid card issue it shouldn't make your monitors power light change...

I'm working on borrowing a monitor. I'll have to check the connections, but I believe they are all secure.
