'Importing Web' problem - 1/27/2005 17:26:46

I must be doing something wrong here and maybe someone could put me on the right track.

I have a page (multi-page) on my old ISP that I no longer have on my harddrive. I Used 'import web', saw what looked like everything transfer from the old ISP transfer into FP2002.

Even though I saw index.html and photo.html (etc) transfer over... When I opened navigation view all I seem to have is index. (?) Why don't I see everything?

(site is index with 6 'child' level pages) I can't find my children! :)

thanks, Thomas

Im kinda a noob with front page but try going to the site that you want to work on, click file and edit with frontpage.. it will only take 1 page into front page and you might have to do it on every page :S... Im sure theres an easier way and someone will help you..

Try looking in Folder view to see all your "children". They are there. The reason you aren't seeing them in Navigation view is because you "imported" the site rather than "Publishing" to your HDD. Publishing brings the structure, importing doesn't.

Probably, if you just rebuild your navigation, it will be fine. If not, try Publishing to HDD.

Thanks, :) I'll give that a try.
