Comfirmation Page - 4/8/2001 20:16:00
I can't figure out what I've done on my confirmation pages (I have two). On Both, located at, www.kyimagedtp.com/linkex.htm, and www.kyimagedtp.com/consultation.htm, when I click on the submit button, the pages come up, but the saved information isn't appearing. Also, I can't figure out what I did to the reset button, when it's clicked on, instead of resetting the page, it goes to the comfirmation page.

You cant use an image as a reset button in the ordinary sense. Using "type=image" turns it into a submit.

Simply changing the image to a href and linking it to the same page will replicate a reset.

How have you set up your confirmation fields?
(The steps you took)

eg I get "Dear NAME" and not Dear Spooky

I set up like this (from my link exchange page)
Dear [NAME]
E-mail: [E-mail]
Business Phone: [Business Phone]
FAX: [FAX]

Everything worked perfectly on my original website. And I basically copied everything from it.

Thanks for the answer I did get on the reset button. I'll change it.

Sorry about that. I checked the urls and saw what I did wrong.
http://www.kyimagedtp.com/_vti_bin/shtml.exe/linkex.htm for the link exchange page (I think I need to change this to confirmation in the properties box.

http://kyimagedtp.com/consultation.htm

Try it again Gil please.

The form fields HAVE! to match in order for the confirmation page to know what to display.

You have "NAME" the form has "Name"
You jave "E-mail" the form has "Email"
You have "Business Phone' the form has "Business"

Also I would get rid of all the spaces in field names...

I did as everyone said. I got everything working properly except on the link exchange confirmation (www.kyimagedtp.com/linkex.htm) the person's name isn't showing and on the consultation page (www.kyimagedtp.com/consultation.htm), I can't get the evening phone to come up.

Also, I did as someone said and linked my reset buttons to the pages and they are still taking me to the confirmation pages.

It says NAME because that is what you have in the code - Try [Name]
