Publishing only one page? Possible? - 4/8/2001 23:49:00
I only know one way to publish my web sites..go to internet explorer..and web publishing wizard. By doing it this way even if I change only one thing on one page I have to republish the whole site..I am sure there is an easier way. Does anyone know how I can publish only pages that I have changed. Thanks alot, Rita

Frontpage does that for you. If you are using Fp that is. When you publish the first time, you should publish all pages. After that, Fp allows you to just publish the changed pages. Works good!

Thanks Gene...but do I need to do anything different to do this? When I watch the file transfer each and every page and image is transferred according to the dialog box anyways. Also I am using FrontPage 98...I so need to update. Whenever I re-publish bardsong.net..it takes me forever because of the MP3's I have on there and it is getting old. Thanks Rita

#1 way (for me) is to open the site and edit live, theres no publishing required at all!

In Frontpage just click "Publish" or click "File/Publish Web". There is a publishing wizard that will take you through the steps. When it gets to the last dialog box, be sure that the "Publish Changed Pages Only" box is checked.

The first time, it will most likely publish everything, but after that it will only publish the changed pages. But in order to use this publishing feature you have to have the Frontpage Extension on the host server.
