working on local machine / publishing to server - 4/9/2001 20:03:00
i am designing and developing an intranet and am currently doing all my modifications direct on the server where the intranet sits. this, however, doesnt seem the best way to do it. how do i make my site fully viewable on my local machine before publishing it to the server? at the moment i can access all standard htm file but asp's etc dont work locally. i'm using Windows ME.

If you have the pesonal web server installed then you can publish to a web on your PWS, and should be well.

Active Server Pages have to be served via a valid url. File paths won't work.
