hello outfrounteers,

i have option explicit at the top of the asp page and am getting this error: 

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a03ee' 

Expected ')' 

/todaysq2.asp, line 3 

Private Function ExtractSomeNumericString(ByVal pstrVariable As String) As String

was wondering if this might be a windows2003 server setting issue
