Functioning copy to CD-ROM or other external medias - 4/10/2001 20:54:00
Hi allLet me get more specific on the following problem. I would like to save a functioning copy of my website to an external media (in my case a CD-R or CD-RW). The idea is that I can show my website to somebody who hasn’t got neither FrontPage nor Internet access but only a CD-ROM Drive and a browser. I tried to publish or copy it to a CD but found out that the links don’t work correct anymore. Has anyone got a solution for this problem? Danny

Hi DCU,Just a stab/guess. Do you use absolute URLs. Like http://www.mydomain.com/mypage.htm when calling a page or do you use relative URLS. Like mypage.htm when calling a page. If you use the first it will not be able to hit the page unless you were conected to the Internet. Again just something to check. Brian ------------------ Work hard, play fair, stay sane
