This is a general question but it's ticking me off and any advice would be appreciated.
Here at Outfront, and in Outlook Express, I check 'remember password' but my computer just won't remember it. Could I have something set improperly here on my computer?
WinXP w/SP2
I can live with it, but my laptop with WinXP does remember the Outlook Express passwords.

Hi Tom,
I'm no administrator here, however.
Does your laptop have SP2? Try checking the cookie settings on both computers to see if there is any differences.
Also.
In the IE browser, click Tools, Internet Options, Security, Custom Level. Under "User Authentication" , " Logon" check "Automatic logon with current username and password"

no luck there... not to bother, it's not that big a deal to put in the passwords.

Do you run any internet security software? Example: Norton Internet Sytem suite.

yes, norton internet security, laptop had norton systemworks. laptop worked with works, tower didn't with internet
sorry if typos, just woke up.
