Invoicing - 2/8/2005 2:23:38
Hi all

Do any of you have a particular way you invoice your clients? I have put an invoice together for a client but I am not happy with it. It is such a small site (3 pages) and really not much money but I still need to send an invoice. I have done it in word and I dont plan on getting any accounting software for quite a while, but I am curious to know if any of you use to specific format or anything.

thanks
Nicole

Hi,

I invoice clients when the work i've completed on the site reaches 2 hours. Anything less i hold over until the next month, or the next, or the next.

If it's an invoice to completely finish work on the site, bill them for it, if it's less than say $20 or $30 write it off.

Nicole

For several years, I have been using the standard invoice template that is in Excel. I have in the last 2 sites experimented with invoicing via Paypal. Has the advantage of no mail on my part, and the customer not sending me a check. Also was very nice for them to pay by Visa online.

I am going to try my monthly billing that I do for maintenance this month also.
