Articles - 2/16/2005 5:20:12
Hi all

What is the norm these days when it comes to articles? I have seen a few free articles sites where you can use the articles on your site, but is this acceptable or not?

I am in the process of writing a few articles myself for my own site, but there are a few articles I would like to write but I have not got a clue where to start and I am considering using articles from these sites.

Is this an 'ok to do thing' or a big 'no no'? I will be writing my own stuff but I wonder if it would be ok to use a couple of articles on topics I am not fully familiar with? Or would doing this question credibility?

Thanks
paulie

I don't think using someone's article (with permission) and citing them as the author detracts from your credibility at all. It's like saying "I don't know everything, but I know someone who is an expert on this particular subject." Both honest and humble, and who wouldn't respect that?

If, when you say "I am considering using articles from these sites", you mean plagiarising them, that is an entirely different act. If you're asking if it's okay, my personal response would be "Not in a million years".

hi paulie

thanks for the response. i would never use anything without permission or copy articles etc. i found a site which allows you to download the articles as long as they stay as they are, and that copyright info is kept intact and the authors name etc is not taken out.

here is the site i found - http://www.articlecity.com/ maybe you can give me some feedback?
