Using Power Point? - 2/17/2005 15:22:06
Hi Is there any reason for me not to use Power Point for some purposes? I find it much easier to insert pictures, logos and some script in Power Point and copy into Front Page where the PP boxes allow me to position everything without regard or effecting to other borders. Saves alot of time in layout but wonder if i am missing something. Seems too easy and convienet to be true. Thanks

Seems too easy and convenient to be true. When such is the case it probably is. Using other MSOffice applications to create web pages will yield pages with bloated code (which quite often don't look quite right and are difficult to fix).

As Mike implied, code bloat will bring your site to its (electronic) knees. This is the only instance that I'm aware of where the FrontPage (2003) Import command can be used effectively - See: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=823430&product=fp2003
