Just a little fun to show what css is able to accomplish.

A look around the rest of this site shows some pretty amazing things.

Hi c1sissy,

Have'nt seen much of you lately, hope all is ok on your end, and you're just busy.

I found that same link somewhere last week, wasted 20 minutes to do the maze.. lol Went threw the site and got some positioning learning in. I never did find that house model I sent you way back when.

I'm still slowly pecking away at reconstucting my mess of a site to css. Everyone said I'd give up on the css venture, but I'm still deeply involved with it.

My main problem, and always will be I guess is getting things to work properly in Ex-plorer, I'll go look around at the hack link you or jaybee posted in a previous post.

I started with this, http://fpwm.lazykatz.com/blue/ managed to get to this http://fpwm.lazykatz.com/blue/new_page_3.htm and will post an updated version sometime in the next couple days with the removal of the top navigation disaster for everyone to criticize apon..lol

Glad to see yaa..
Grizz :)

Hi Lazykatz,
Thank you for your concern!

Yes, between battling a virus that won't leave, and trying to stay within the css studies and getting pages to work, I have been very busy.

Stick with this, sure its work to learn, and you can pull out every strand of hair that you might have, it is so worth it. I am truly addicted to this venture of learning in web design. And I hand code, which adds to the frustration sometimes.

I think it took me about 10 minutes to get through the maze once I realized that you can't touch the walls of the maze. If you do that you fail and have to start over again. Once I realized that, I got through it in no time at all.

Your second link looks terrific. I really like it a lot.

One thing I really can't stress enough though, test in all browsers except for IE when you are building. IE gets so much wrong and is too forgiving. Once you get your page where you wish, then you can tweak it for IE, there are hacks and a conditonal statment that you can use. All you need to do is search the forums, and you can find a ton of relative information to help you out. Also, make google your friend for searching different css terms and then print out relavant information that you find you will need and take notes on it.

Thank You.. it's coming along like a snail. Top menu.. haven't decided on a new one. Might go with some Swish or Power Bullet, or more CSS. Fonts have been a issue.. but getting thier. Next post will probably be Monday after I get home from Daytona.

Get well, keep creating, and thanks again..

Top menu....

go look at Stu's site again for his css menus and check out Listamatic. You can get some good effects without going away from css.

Check out my site. The menus are both done with css. The breadcrumb is PHP but written to produce valid XHTML, css and AAA.
