Missing images - 2/20/2005 7:27:13
When I view the website on my PC (with Internet Explorer or Netscape) some of the images do not appear:
e.g. http://www.heatherkoumi.co.uk/error.htm

However no one else I've asked has this problem and when I "preview in browser" or use the preview tab the images do show!
e.g. http://www.heatherkoumi.co.uk

It is the first time I have used css so I suspect they may have something to do with it - they were used to create the chamfered / mount like edges to the pictures ...

Heather, refresh your cache. If everyone else can see them then you're viewing old info.

I can see them fine too.

Thanks for your reply jaybee - however this is not a cache refresh (F5 or Ctrl+F5) issue because it happens to me with pages the first time I look at them but not to anyone else!!!

Recent?

Have you run a full virus check and adware/Trojan check?

Are all the image types you don't see the same file type?

Thanks for sticking here jaybee!
You take it as a browser problem and NOT a FP issue then?

Yes, I've refreshed recently and also "deleted all" (via Internet Options) including offline.

AVG, adaware and the new Microsoft Anti-spyware all show clean ...

All files are JPG

Hasn't happened to a subsequently uploaded set of pix to a different site e.g.

Okay but what can be done to refresh then??

How can it be an earlier version since the pages have never been uploaded without the pictures!!

... and why would it happen with the same page if I renamed it and then uploaded it??

Could it be the fact that you use capital letters and underscores in your image file names? Try changing to all lower case and using "-" instead of "_" between words. Try it on just one of the offending pics first to see what happens. I had a simillar problem once and that worked for me.

Hmmmn, I've never had a problem with underscores. Interesting.

I know the caps can make a difference. I've also had problems clearing the cache, something else you might want to try is actually going into the "temp internet file" folder and deleting everything from there.
