Publishing to hard drive from server - 2/24/2005 13:01:37
I am trying to back up my website to my hard drive at work as I always do and it comes back with this error.

"An error occurred accessing your FrontPage web files. Authors - if authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters - please see the server's systom log for more details."

I have never had this problem before. Any ideas on what the problem is?

It publishes fine on my home computer.

TIA
Larry M.

webrider64,

I gather you are publishing down at home first accessing local FrontPage web site files then connecting to the host and publishing down from there. Slightly different on another box.

From a remote location (at work) with FrontPage installed (site files unnecessary), >>File >>Open >>browse to My Network Places, input your complete url (http://www.mysite.com/), in the File Name filed, enter, Username/Password.

After the host server files come-up in FrontPage (observe path statement in the top bar), >>File >>Save As XXXX. You will be prompted that XXXX doesn't exist, do you want to create this file (or words to this effect). Click Yes.
