FP extension installation Question - 3/1/2005 16:44:06
Hello All, Thank you for all your help! Unfortunately, I need to re-install FP extensions. I tried to look up how to install them but the references I find doesn't fit my case because the guy who took care of the server no longers work here and I tried to contact him and he has no clue what I was talking about. Please help. Thank you!

First of all, you'll want a copy of the extensions to hand: FPSE 2002 FPSE 2000 (I'd go with FPSE2000 ;) Download which one suits your needs. You might need some guidance on the FPSE2002 version, as it has different builds for the different versions of Linux Don't forget to get the fp_install.sh file - you won't be able to go to far without it. You'll find all the current FP extension data in /usr/local/frontpage - I wouldn't change it to anything else, as this will just complicate things. Run fp_install.sh - this should take care of most of the dirty, gritty work for you. OK, you have the extensions on your machine, but your not finished ;) Browse to the following directory: /usr/local/frontpage/versionX.0/ X maybe 4 or 5, dependant on which version you chose above. In here, you want to run the Apache Patch, which, if memory serves, is change_server.sh - that should install the extensions as a module on Apache That *should* be it. I hope that's clear enough for you. Dan
