Cursor image change. - 3/11/2005 12:59:29
Does anyone know how to make the users cursor change when a specific page is loaded? ? Please advise or direct me. Thanks.

one piece of advice is not to mess with people's cursors - some can get upset if you mess with things that are hardwired into their OS. i find for example my hand being replaced with a cross hair doesn't look cool, it's simply annoying. some users might like it but you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be many that won't. my 2 cents ;)

I'll throw in a "me too." Sites that change my deault curor for no apparent reason are high on my list of pet peeves (or is it "low"?). Changing the cursor for a particular object may make sense, and may even be helpful; e.g., changing the cursor to a "help" cursor when it hovers over a help button. But changing the default cursor for the page... yuck. Cheers, Kevin
