Blinking word with FireFox....? - 3/11/2005 23:25:32
I just downloaded the FireFox browser and when I view a certain page on my website, a word "blinks" off and on. Any ideas why this is happening? Is it some wonderful feature that I am not aware of?? lol

quote:
ORIGINAL: bobby It's kinda funny... because if I remember right, IE used to be the only browser where blinking text did work... I seem to remember that the blink tag was introduced by NN, but I'm not sure IE ever supported it (if it did, the support didn't make it past IE3). If I recall correctly, IE came out with the marquee tag as sort of a response to Netscape's blink tag (sort of an "oh yeah, well we can have some annoying visual effects too! So there!"). I also recall that, back in the day, IE proponents would apply the blink tag to their entire page, just to annoy Netscape users (for whom the entire page would blink). The browser wars were so much simpler then! Cheers, Kevin
