Shopping Cart - 3/13/2005 5:27:59
Okay, I'm sorry if this has been posted. (I'm almost certain it has.) My question, however, is very specific.

I am looking for a Shopping Cart to add to my existing internet site. I do not want a cart that is hosted by my server. In other words, I want the cart directly linked into my site. Additionally, I already have a merchant account and therefore do not wish to use services like paypal. (I'm using ICVerify to process my orders)

I think I have found a solution with SalesCart, but I am looking for other alternatives. Can anyone suggest some for me?

Additionally, what are the pros and cons of using my own stand alone shopping cart vs a hosted service?

Thanks for any help,
Avi

Doesn't seem like anyone is taking this thread, so I will try to help you out.

So.. you want a shopping cart that is hosted somewhere else?

What needs do you have for this shopping cart?

Any particular reason for not wanting to host this on your current server?

Thanks,

Actually, I'm not having any issues because I am not yet on the web :). What I was wanting was a program that was built into my web and did not need to have anything "configured" or "installed" on a server. ie... if I wanted to just get up and leave my server and go to another, I would not have to be concerned with compatability issues.

I've only found one cart like this and that is SalesCart. I was wondering if any had any other suggestions (which I received). I REALLY like CandyPress, but again it seems that I must do something on the server side.

Just looking at the options before shelling out the money... really new to this and doen't want to waste $400 bucks.

Thanks for your help,
Avi
