Over the past four years (the first two I did not have 'ads') I've used affiliate programs to make a little money. Recently I added adsense.
My sites (except for my art site) are all about information about FrontPage) I run newsletters, lists and the sites and even a couple of blogs (recently). What I've just launched is a couple of ebooks, one about FrontPage tips which sells very cheaply and a free ebook about an orginal article of mine here on OutFront (thanks Tom), which I made for Cheryl Wise a Microsoft MVP - FrontPage who just started FrontPage Classes from a new site. Making parnerships of different sorts is also something I've always done. I love FrontPage addons and talk to as many Addon Makers as I can. I guess all this can be applied to other subjects. I'd not widely successful in the money I make it's really just 'pin' money, but after all this is my hobby and I am a housewife:)
Running a blog, making ebooks, even answering questions in your subject matter, running a list and newsletters and ezines as well as your site can all add to the mix. It really depends on how much time you want to invest, the end results depend on how well you market what you do. This help any?
