my client friend blokie wanted a new and bright spring version of his site so that's what i did
http://www.deplicque.net/mainpage.html

i realise that i might/will need to change the red on green combo for links in headings (for those users who are red-green colour blind) so may go for yellow or white... I think i should be with the v.light yellow/green background but will check it out on one of those colour test sites. e.g. http://www.vischeck.com/ )

what do you think?

edit: vischeck didn't manage with my floated div to the right but they have a PS extension http://www.vischeck.com/downloads/ so you can use a screen shot and check it in photoshop - nice one - it looked ok in there as well because they're is enough contrast between the mid red and lighter background)

Quick glance at the green scheme makes me think spring :) I personally think of grass and the different shades (goes from brown to light green to dark green in real life and so does the site..minus the brown)

the font is real nice for the site also I think...makes it sort of happy and chipper

For some reason, the white border on the left links make my eyes strain trying to concentrate to see them or something...but, that may just be me.
