FrontPage publish for backing up - 3/31/2005 8:52:31
I know people use a FTP program to back up all or parts of their websites.

Question: is it just as suitable to backup (in my case a YaBB forum in the CGI Bin) using FrontPage? I open the site live, select the CGI Bin, then publish it to my hard drive.

thanks,

gail

Not sure there is anything written anywhere, but don't see why that wouldn't work. The publishing process is similar to FTP in that it smiply moves the selected files from one place to another. I have published entire sites down from the web even when the site wasn't created in FP and it has worked fine.
