.pdf files - 4/9/2005 15:39:25
HI,

I have been trying for many months to simply allow visitors to view or even download a .pdf file. It is very small, 200kb. I have tried uploading the file, linking text to it, everything imaginable and it simple will not work I use frontpage 2000. I am told it is very simple to do but it does not appear to be for me lol
any hints?

thx

Welcome to OutFront!

Any chance you can provide a url? It might help if we can see how you have it set up.

Upload the pdf file to a folder on your site eg. documents.

type in a link word or put in a graphic.

Highlight the word or graphic and go to the toolbar

Insert>Hyperlink this brings up a box

In the URL bar put http://www.yoursitename.xxx/documents/filename.pdf
then click OK

You might want to include another link so they can get acrobat if they don't have it already.
