waldenman -> % or pixels or both? (4/21/2005 10:10:47)

I'm using FP2002 to make webpages that fit in to all screen sizes without horizontal scrolling.

Each page is going to be set-up from left to right as follows..

Column 1 thin white border
Column 2 needs to be 150 pixels wide for my graphics
Column 3 main text area...width not crucial
Column 4 same as column 2
Column 5 same as column 1

Should I make table widths by % or by pixels?
Can I mix the two without causing problems?
The 150 pixel wide columns are vitally important.

Help needed please,

waldenman

...but also consider not using tables for layout - switching to CSS - as tables can cause accessibility problems

Meant to say Womble........thanks for the CSS advice...........I'm still trying to get to grips with that method of working.

Me too. I'm just switching from using FP wysiwyg to *proper* coding and trying to get my head round css fully but things are slowly coming together [:)]
