% or pixels or both? - 4/21/2005 10:10:47
I'm using FP2002 to make webpages that fit in to all screen sizes without horizontal scrolling.

Each page is going to be set-up from left to right as follows..

Column 1 thin white border
Column 2 needs to be 150 pixels wide for my graphics
Column 3 main text area...width not crucial
Column 4 same as column 2
Column 5 same as column 1

Should I make table widths by % or by pixels?
Can I mix the two without causing problems?
The 150 pixel wide columns are vitally important.

Help needed please,

waldenman

...but also consider not using tables for layout - switching to CSS - as tables can cause accessibility problems

Me too. I'm just switching from using FP wysiwyg to *proper* coding and trying to get my head round css fully but things are slowly coming together :)
