I'm using FP2002 to design my website.

It's a fairly graphics intensive site and needs a lot of small explanatory labels.... sometimes against a dark background.

I've tried various fonts at 8pt and 10pt ....."Tahoma" "Verdana" and the usual suspects but, although readable, none of them is perfectly "crisp" to look at.

Any font/point size suggestions would be great,

waldenman

waldenman,

Another font selection consideration is conformity to Windows/Macintosh.

The chart at: http://www.ampsoft.net/webdesign-l/WindowsMacFonts.html should prove helpful.

If you're willing to pay for a font, can I suggest:

Minifonts

and

Pixelate

I wouldn't pay for a font before I check out the free font websites. I have over 8,000 free designer fonts (about 450MB zipped).

ACDC fan, eh Helena?

if you want a bitmap font to use in your image editor then these are good - http://www.dsg4.com/04/extra/bitmap/

remember to use them at their native size e.g. 8pt or whatever and to turn off any kerning or antialiasing in your image editor for these fonts
