Window 2003 Server questions - 4/24/2005 21:32:36
I just had to move my webs to a new windows 2003 server. The migration was done for me by my ISP but I am having lots of small issues. I have no experience with a Windows2003 server.
Questions: it seems that Windows2003 offers different authentication schemes. Does anyone know what choices there are? I was having a problem getting to my webs after the move. They had to change the authentication. This is a snip from my ISP's response to my problem:"... I have enabled another authentication scheme. Try connecting again to the temporary URLs with FrontPage. If you still get the same error try the other thing that the error suggested: Try adding the server to the exception box in the proxy settings dialog box. This isn't due to the unfinished migration process - it's due to the proxy you are behind."
Question: Is there a way for me to know what proxy I am behind? I was not aware of having a proxy on my computer - unless they are referring to Zone Alarm Pro or the link to my ISP via satellite dish (Earthlink)
