'Edit page in Front Page' option - 4/29/2005 12:00:01
I have been making edits to my website by using the File/Edit page in Front Page' option and it has been working just fine until this past week.

When it was working properly here is what I did and what happened:

1) Go to webpage online
2) File/Edit page in FP
3) It would take me to FP software and ask for my id/pw and I would enter that info
4) It would then pull the page into FP along with the Index tab with all of the other website info
5) I would make my edits/save and then check it on live website.  Edits were made

Now what happens is:

1) Go to webpage online
2) File/Edit page in FP
3) It pulls the page into FP however it does not ask me for id/pw
4) The page is there by itself with no index tab with all the other info.
5) I am able to make changes on the page, however when I click save and then go to the webpage online no changes are made which is good that it doesn't allow changes w/out asking for id/pw but I can't figure out what is going on or why it does not allow me to make changes anymore(??)

Anyone have any suggestions?  I am stuck and need to make edits :-(

fyi-my webhost does have someone working on an SQL file and I thought maybe because that person was in there that it was not allowing/or giving me the id/pw screen to make edits but that person is not in there today and I still do not get the id/pw screen by doing the above.

Thank you.....
Judy

site is www.mwfpa.org but I doubt that will help you with this problem(?)

Try opening Frontpage 03 and when it asks you to select a web to open use http://www.yourdomain.com and it should open it "Live" from the server that way.

I'm not sure why it happens either... you would think that FP and IE being tightly integrated into Windows that they'd always play well together...

go figure...  :)
