Hi Site runs fine. Very easy navigation. Maybe a pale background colour to break up the white but that is only my opinion. Ian

Hi ecss Couple of things - not everything is lining up properly in Firefox, you might want to get a copy so that you can see what I mean (bottom navigation and the God bless America bit). The bottom nav is fine on the other pages but not on the index-old page. The bottom navigation isn't the same as the top navigation - people might miss stuff if you only link to it at the bottom of the page. Ideally you want the same options top and bottom (preferably with one or other being text based links so that people can navigate without images). Also - if this is your business site and you are hoping to bring in business from web surfers you might hit a problem having your splash intro page. If you want Google etc to rank you highly then you need to have lots of relevant content on the front page - you might want to consider dropping the intro and going straight into your index-old page. You also never ever want to give a surfer the opportunity to get bored waiting for a download or graphics as they might give up. Another really picky thing (sorry!) I wouldn't have a section on a business site called Useless information - why not call it Fun Stuff or Links or whatever, you get the idea.

I am going to be frank with you. this forum is noted for respect and kindness - especially to newcomers - so please dont misinterpret my frankness. If your site were a hobby site, I would say "fine" but since it proclaims itself a "business site", I must say that it screams "amateur" and does a disservice to your business. Every single person on here will (or should) laugh about their frist sites - we all start off and learn as we go. there is nothing wrong with your site as a first attempt except that it does not meet minimal standards as a business site - pure and simple. Take an objective lok at it and then at some business sites. As a beginner, there is nothing wrong with trying to emulate ( copy) the lok and feel of other sites - or purchase a templete to get started on the right path. Good luck

Hi John, I agree with the others so far, but I also agree with dan even though he's been a bit harsh. As for the actual content, I'd drop the Marquee very quickly, and i'd also re-arrange some of those page links at the top. People usually go to pages like "feedback" and "guestbook" after they've looked at the site so they shouldn't ne mixed up in the page links, they should be last along with the "contact" link. It's a neat and tidy site, very easy to read and navigate which is always great, but I wonder just how appropriate it is for a car racing or hot rod site? To me, both of those topics usually would have more vibrant pages? Which reminds me, your intro was black and the erst of your pages are white? Anyway, pretty nice site. Nicole

Hmmm...well, personally I don't like the speedometer needles twitching back and forth though I understand why you have them there...I still don't like them, though your target audience may very well think it's cool. that's the important thing; that your target audience feels at home there...which I think they would. That said, I would like to see you get rid of the comic sans font and tighten up your page more - maybe contain the text in a table (don't shoot me css advocates, lol) and have a fun border down one side or across the top, like a checkered flag, or tire tracks, or something. the inside pages just look flat. Maybe use more red and other primary colors instead of that pale green. and yeah...I'd get rid of the marquee too.
