Ways of allowing clients to update FP site - 5/29/2001 20:27:00
I have a client who wants to be able to do some of her own site updates (with NO html knowledge). I don't particularly want to let her break the site!

Is there a way of setting up an easily updateable section in an FP site (perhaps an include page) and giving it it's own password so the client can update it without being able to make a mess elsewhere?

I was in the same situation with the site that should go live next week. (Needs to have some items changed)

My previous employer has no knowledge of how to do FP, FTp, etc. They wanted to be able to add press releases, events, customer stories, etc.

What I did what create a wed admin section where they could log in (secured by asp) and then add, delete, update the records. This is all linked to an access database. I tought myself how to do this by reading articles on the web since I had no programming experience prior to playing with this.

This seems to work very well for them. If you have questions please let me know.
