E-book - 5/15/2005 10:23:41
I was recently commissioned by an associate of a European website to write a digital photography-related article. They will be making it into an e-book and using it as a promotional item for those who join their affiliate program. The associate said they preferred the ebook format over pdf.
I'm thinking about putting some of the information at my site into a ebook but know little about the actual creation of them. Can anyone recommend software (that won't cost an arm and a leg)? The content will contain text and graphics and I'd like to be able to include active internal bookmarks and a few external links. No fancy stuff such as flash or video.

I've never used this type of software before so can't recommend from first-hand experience but there's a few at download.com here's one that gets an ok review Easy-Ebook-Creator
it's $19 to buy. There are a couple of others there too.

I've downloaded and tried some of these programs, but the problem I'm finding is that internal bookmarks do not stay active, and I really need this function. Any hyperlinks starting with http:// are active and open in a new window when clicked.
Does anyone know of a program, that will not break the bank, which will keep the internal hyperlinking for bookmarks active too?
