How do I update (make changes) to someone elses site? - 5/31/2001 23:17:00
I need to make changes on a certain page within an already published site. How do I go about doing this? I am under the impression that they will need to email me the entire directory structure so i can open it in Frontpage2000 (they use that too) to make changes and save it properly. Is there any other method compared to this one? Is there a program that will allow me to do this online from my desktop (easier method)? Thanks

You just go to OPEN > OPEN WEB and specify the URL of the site, and make the necessary alterations, and as long as you are online it will upload the changes immediately.

I would think that these changes would then have be downloaded to back to the C drive holding the site or the next time it is published, the changes will be lost. ------------------ www.Signingshotline.com lists EVERY upcoming athlete autograph appearance in the US and Canada

Doh!...I found out that if you just type in the url it loads fine. I tested it with another site that I update with no probs. Another question though...they don't use server extensions so will this method work?

No FP server extensions, no work! You'll have to do it locally and FTP it (IIRC). ANd then it becomes difficult. You have to remember that the FP Bot's won't work, etc.
