Graphics failing to disply - 5/19/2005 4:47:17
I'm having problems with blocked graphics and includes on my site.
Up until recently this happened when using Explorer, Opera and Netscape, but FireFox was OK.
However, since I installed the latest FireFox security up-date I have the same problem on FireFox as well?
This only happens on my own machine - when I view the site on other machines, all seems OK.
Also, when I preview the site in FrontPage 2003 all seems fine in all the browsers, it's only when I view the site in the browsers from my server?
I've had several opinions on this from the Mozilla forum blaming the Frontpage coding for this, but I have my doubts.
I have disabled Norton and Zone Alarm and it make no difference.
Any ideas?
My site is www.LandlordZONE.co.uk

In Firefox, check Tools>Options>Web Features and make sure the load images box is checked.

I've only heard of Norton causing problems with image loads if the site is blocking image copying.

Hi Rental,

I see all the graphics in your website just fine in both FireFox and IE.

However, on looking at the source code, I see that you don't have any <body>... </body> tags, which might be causing a problem on your computer.

I then ran the page through the W3C validator which found heaps of errors for your declared doc type, most only minor but well worth fixing:

I certainly don't think that FrontPage coding can be blamed for your computer not being able to see graphics - if that was the case this forum would be full of similar complaints and everyone else would not see them either. :)

It sounds like the problem is something very local to your computer, but I'm not sure what. Other OutFront gurus will have valuable suggestions very soon... I'm certain :)
