Problem with Server>Administration Home - 5/25/2005 13:27:59
I am experiencing an error when tyring to utilize the Tools> Server> Administration Home interface.  I receive the message that "A world wide web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, is required to access this feature."  I had no issues with my Internet Explorer, I have uninstalled Fpage and removed all registry entries - then reinstalled - still no go.  I have reinstalled Windows altogether (though I didn't format, just a fresh installation of windows; still cannot access and receive the same error message.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Yes, IE6.  Fresh Windows XP Home with SP2 All Office 2003 updates and Windows updates are current to date.

I have gone ahead an re-formatted my hard drive and re-installed Windows and Fpage again.  It seems to work fine now. If anyone has any ideas on what might cause that, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
scotch

Just to update, I received a reply in Frontpagetalk forum from a member named "Rick_E".  He offered the following solution which did allow me to access my server administration interface.

quote:

In Internet Explorer, try browsing to

http://domain.com/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmcgi.exe?page=webadmin.htm

(Substitute your domain name.)

Thanks,
scotch
