Hello everyone.  I chose not to use css to center my background image and stop tiling because it I am putting together a newsletter that needs to be only html code to be viewed properly.

So...since I am not using css ...

I got it to stop tiling by using this:
        
 <td background="newsletter_back.jpg" STYLE="background-repeat: no-repeat;">

But I cant get it to center properly in the cell...cant get it to do anything else but stop the tiling.  I have tried various combinations to get it to work...but I ran out of ideas.

So I need to know along with getting it to stop tiling(as in the above code) what else do I need to put so I can get it to center itself in that cell.

Thank you for any help that can be provided.

Hey the moment I actually assinged a background color to the cell, Frontpage automatically fixed everything the way I wanted it to look.

Here is the code it made: 

         <tdbackground="newsletter_back.jpg" STYLE="background-position: center;background-color:#FFFFFF; background-repeat:no-repeat;background-attachment:scroll">

I was thinking that...but wasnt sure.

What I should have said is without using an external or internal stylesheet ( I think thats how I should have worded it ) [correct me if Im wrong]

and i hope i didnt come accross as a wise as# - 3 types of css.. external, embedded (style in <head>) and in-line
